Due to an agreement between Europe and Canada, European citizens do not need a visa to travel to Canada for a short period of 180 days. However, all visa-free citizens planning to visit Canada for less than six months must pre-register with the eTA, the Canadian version of ESTA, or the ETIAS visa waiver.
